Edited by Ben Battles, On Target magazine is published bi-monthly as a hunters and shooters buyer's guide. Each issue is filled with information about the latest outdoor gear, including rifles, optics, shotguns, archery, reloading equipment, handguns and related accessories.

Along with my wife Sandy, for many years I wrote the 1911 Corner column for On Target. In it, we tested and evaluated 1911 pistols for function and accuracy. From box stock to budget breakers, we shot them all.

Although our demanding workload has caused us to recently resign from the magazine, the column will continue. On Target is available free of charge from qualified gun and outdoor shops nationwide.
